    Applications are invited on prescribed application forms from officers working in BS-17, BS-18 & BS-19 fulfilling following eligibility criteria:


    Eligibility Criteria:


    A. All Government Officers, including officers belonging to all Occupational Groups working in the Federal Government.


    B. Officers from Provincial Civil Services belonging to Provincial Governments, including AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA. 




    Sixteen years of education / Masters’ degree




    Officers working in BS-17, BS-18 and BS-19 with three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience preferably in management /field work, or labour/manpower administration and laws, or matters pertaining to emigration and welfare of Pakistanis living/working abroad.


    Age Limit:


    For officers in BS-17, upper age limit is 35 years; in BS-18, upper age limit is 40 years; and for officers in BS-19, the upper age limit is 48 years by June 05, 2017.




    A. The written test will be conducted by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in its campus at Lahore.  Interviews of the successful candidates will be conducted by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development.


    B. Minimum qualifying score in the written test is 60%.


    C. Online applications should be submitted on the prescribed proforma available at website https://moop.lums.edu.pk/. All applications submitted online should also be forwarded through surface mail after printing two copies to Dr. Abid A. Burki, Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Sector U, DHA, Lahore.  Hand written applications will not be entertained.


    D. Last date for receipt of applications is June 5, 2017.  Incomplete and late applications will not be entertained.


    E. Officers are required to submit their applications through their Divisions / Departments.  Advance copy of the application forms, complete in all respects, should be submitted by due date.

    1. Electronically fill the application form. It takes around 30 minutes to complete the form. All the fields marked with (*) are mandatory. Do not refresh page while filling the application form.


    2. Electronically submit the completed application form by pressing submit button. Once submitted, no changes could be made.


    3. Print two copies of the application form, sign and dispatch them together with two copies each of

          i.  CNIC

          ii.  Recent colored photographs

          iii.  Domicile; and

          iv.  Degree / Certificates

LUMS Written Test for the Selection of Community Welfare Attache is contracted by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, Government of Pakistan to a team of LUMS Economics and Computer Science faculty. LUMS test team is tasked to design, administer and grade the test, and report the result to the Ministry with integrity and in a professional and fair manner.


The criteria for eligibility of applicants for the test has been determined by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development and published in their advertisement. The scrutiny of the applicants to determine eligibility of applicants shall be based on the guidelines provided in the newspaper advertisement. 


LUMS or its faculty or staff do not control the number of written tests commissioned in a year, and the manner in which the interview cycle of successful candidates (in the written test) is conducted by the Ministry.


In no event shall LUMS or its faculty and staff be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage caused or alleged to be caused by the acts of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development on which LUMS or its written test team has no direct or indirect control. Consulting and advising to government is a desirable activity through which LUMS faculty shares knowledge and expertise to the outside world to help improve products, services and processes. LUMS Team for the written test has no conflict of interest in the test and the test conducted by them reflects well on the faculty, their profession and the University.
